Join us for a weekend of Scottish Country Dancing and fun in Spa!
Spa is located in the Belgian Ardennes (south-east Belgium) and is in particular know for its water, thermal baths and Formula 1 racing.
We will be dancing in the beautiful and recently renovated old casino in Spa, now a cultural centre. The venue is centrally located in Spa on a square with many restaurants, one of which we have booked for dinner Friday evening as well as lunch Saturday and Sunday. Dinner Saturday evening will be at the Radisson Palace, which is at walking distance from the dance venue.
We will have a welcome dance Friday evening and a ball Saturday evening.
Classes Saturday morning and Sunday morning with our teacher for the weekend, David Queen.
The event is aimed at those with intermediate and/or advanced level.
Music throughout the weekend with James Gray on piano and Andrew Lyon on accordeon.
You get all of this for 230 EUR (190 EUR for members of Brussels Dance Scottish).
We have negotiated a special price with Radisson Palace Spa: 145 EUR per night for a double room (that's 72.50 EUR per person per night) or 125 EUR per night for a single room. Rates include breakfast. Rooms needs to be booked directly with the hotel. If you want to benefit from the special rate, ask for the code with your registration.
Be aware that the funicular leading to the top of the hill where this hotel is located, stops quite early. After hours, you can only get there by following the road which is steep uphill and relatively narrow, has no street lights and no pavement for pedestrians.
For the non-dancers, there are plenty of opportunities for walks in and around town.
