Originally I’m educated as a graphical designer and I have worked 19 years for ‘Politikken’ newspaper as a creative graphical designer. I am from a creative family and I have been painting since my School days, where I had my first exhibition in the classrooms and since then I have had countless exhibitions in in- and outland. My paintings are usually layers of acrylic paint with drawing motives on. My main source of inspiration is from my life in The City of Helsingør.

My Paintings are Landscapes in a combination with photos, but I also relish experimenting with a mix of materials, which are expressed in my reliefs and Trash Art. I have graduated from the Art Academy in Buenos Aires in Argentina, Attended Graphical courses at Aalborg Art School and has been taught to work with Ink through the Chinese tradition at Singapore Calligraphy CentreJacqueline Uhrenholdt.

My paintings are always figurative and painted in oil or acrylic on canvas. Sometimes the objects are photorealistic and at other times they are diluted and stray from the object as to challenge the viewer to perceive what they are looking at. The viewer can wonder! I have a love for portraits, movements of people, and animal scenes, where I can amuse myself with shapes and forms.

My paintings are an exploration within the abstract sphere of 2D form. My work is intuitive and expressive, driven by an emotional power. The exploration of the process allows for interesting coincidences to remain in the painting. The theme for my paintings is the impression of the senses and state of mind, which is visualised through colours, form and lines.

As a 3D Artist working with ceramic, I use several types of stoneware each providing different expressions and use. My work ranges from sculptures to unique design pieces. I have always loved cutting, pushing, pulling and manipulating a wheel-made basic form, also great large forms. Stories, children and childlike, colourful souls are my main source of inspiration.
