New Cisco Cybersecurity Operations Program

Cisco has announced the new Cybersecurity Operations Program geared towards technicians and SOC (Security Operations Center) professionals to include the day-to-day, tactical knowledge and skills required to detect and respond to the security threats facing data networks today..

The new program considers 3 levels of certification:

• Associate Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate Entry -level certification that has been available for a few years and has just been updated.
• Professional Cisco Certified CyberOps Professional That will be available from the month of November 2020.
• Expert Cisco Certified CyberOps Expert Your details are not yet published.

• Entry-level certification for SOC technicians focused on the operational skills and theoretical knowledge required to perform in the field.
• It requires the passing of a single certification exam: 200-201 CBROPS. It has been recently updated on May 29, 2020.
• This is a 120-minute exam that is presented through Pearson-VUE.
• Evaluates knowledge of security concepts, security monitoring, intrusion event analysis, etc.

• Cisco offers an official course (in which the official manual is delivered) of 40 hours. duration through your Cisco Learning Partners. This course is already available.

• Professional level certification that verifies senior SOC analyst skills and other roles related to incident response, with knowledge of cloud security and active defense.
• Available from November 17, 2020.
• Requires passing 2  exams:
• CBRCOR 350-201 Performing CyberOps Using Cisco Security Technologies 120-minute exam that will be available through Pearson-VUE. Assesses knowledge of basic cybersecurity operations including fundamentals of techniques for automating cybersecurity processes. • Cisco will offer an official course ( Performing CyberOps Using Cisco Core Security Technologies ) through its Cisco Learning Partners to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for this role. So far there is no more information about this course.
• CBRFIR 300-215 Conducting Forensic Analysis and Incident Response Using Cisco Technologies for CyberOps 60-minute exam that will be available through Pearson-VUE. Assess knowledge of forensic analysis and incident response fundamentals, techniques, and processes. The information corresponding to the exam can be found on the official Cisco website:  https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/s/cbrfir-exam-topics In this case Cisco will also offer an official course ( Conducting Forensic Analysis and Incident Response Using Cisco Technolofies for CyberOps ) through its Cisco Learning Partners.
