Diagoras International Airport and 50km from Rhodes town central port.
It is connected to both with the Rhodes to Lindos motorway.
Lindos,
with its medieval alleys, its ancient monuments and historic houses is
considered by many as the most beautiful village of Rhodes. Its
imposing castle, dramatically build on top of a steep cliff overlooking
the village is Lindos' more prominent landmark. Inside the walls, the
ancient temple of Athena and other important monuments speak of an age
of prosperity, when Lindos was one of the leading shipping ports of the
ancient world. Spectacular cliffs give their place to picturesque sandy
coves, while the views towards the small lagoon of St Paul (Agios
Paulos) are simply magnificent.
Villa Elies is located
only 2km away from Plakias beach and the golden sand of Li Beach in
Pefki, once Lindos' wine-producing region, 3km to the south. Upper
floor verandas have beautiful sea views. To the south of the
neighbouring village of Lardos is the beautiful coast of South Rhodes,
with numerous beaches and coves with crystal-clear waters. Most of
them, especially at the far south, remain quiet and serene even at the
peak of the tourist season.
Towards the north are the equally
beautiful, popular (but not overcrowded) beaches of the east coast,
such as Vliha, Kalathos, Agathi, Stegna, Tsambika and Afandou and the
big tourist resorts near Rhodes Town. A 20mins drive takes you to the
Afandou Golf Course.
Pefki is also a convenient base for
excursions to the traditional inland villages of the south and to the
forested mountains of the centre of the island. Both in Pefki and in
Lindos, all services and facilities that you could ask for in your
holiday time are at hand: Restaurants, cash dispensers, shops and
travel agencies can be found everywhere while entertainment options
include water sports, boat trips to the nearby islands and to Turkey,
glassbottom - boat cruises, cafés, bars, clubs, ultralight aircraft
flights over the island and much more.
Rhodes island is well
connected with all major airports of Europe and with the most important
Greek ports. There are also many ferry and speedboat routes from the
Turkish ports of Marmaris and Fethyie. Villa Elies is situated on
the east coast of the island, at the Pefki region close to the historic
town of Lindos. It is easily accessed via the Rhodes to Lindos road,
which also connects Pefki with Rhodes airport and with the town of
Rhodes central port.
There
are frequent charter flights to Rhodes Island from many airports of
Western and Eastern Europe and from the Middle East. GB Airways also
operates a scheduled flight service from Gatwick. If you want to fly
from or change at a Greek Airport, there are many connections to Rhodes
from Athens, Thessaloniki, Crete and from many other Greek islands,

from Cyprus to Rhodes via Crete.
From the airport: Turn left
(direction to Rhodes town) and then right at the traffic lights. A four
and twolane motorway takes you to the junction with the Rhodes to
Lindos road after about 15mins of driving and having passed one more
traffic light near Pastida. Turn right and drive on for about 35km to
Lindos passing from Faliraki, Afandou Golf, Kolymbia, Archangelos and
Kalathos. Past the entrance of Lindos drive for 3 more kms to Pefki.
