We are a group of internationals who come from diverse backgrounds but are united by a common faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20 and are excited that so many nations have come to our doorstep, right here in Lund! We want to be God's hand extended in uniting, building, developing and growing internationals that come to Lund to stay, whether for 6 months or for 6 years.
We believe in the power of "meeting in each other's homes and eating together with glad and sincere hearts, devoting ourselves to the teaching of the Bible and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer" (Acts 2, paraphrased).
Our purpose can be considered 5-fold: Build, Equip, Attract, Connect, Reach Out. We believe in building on our foundation in Jesus, being equipped for ministry, attracting and reaching out to others by connecting with them on a personal level, and be Christ's voice in our culture and generation.
During the school semesters (August - May), we meet every Wednesday at 6.45pm where we chat, catch up and get to know each other over simple fika, before we start the gathering proper at 7pm with a time of worship.
We then break up into smaller groups, and each groups has a unique emphasis on a certain aspect of God and His Word. Once in a while, we have a combined sharing on various topics such as character, calling and purpose, equipping for ministry, relationships, and the like.
In the summer (June - August), we meet every Wednesday in each other's homes for some light fika before we enter into a simple time of worship, Bible study and prayer together at 7pm, ending by 9pm.
We also regularly organise extra-curricular activities such as trips to Ales Stenar and Söderåsen, international potlucks, traditional Swedish parties, e.g. midsummer celebrations and crayfish parties, to introduce our internationals to what Sweden is all about.
