When tourists talk about their trip to London they normal talk about the traffic and there is a good reason there is allot of traffic in London and they most have notice the double-decker buses and the black caps. That is one of London’s symbols because they were the first to have it. Today 6500 buses drive people around London on 700 routes. The traditional London red double-decker bus was a “routemaster” and was in use from 1954 to 2005, a “routemaster” had 65 seats at all, 36 upstairs, 28 downstairs, and one to the driver. The route masters were especially designed for London’s narrow and twisting streets.
There are also black caps in London but today the “black caps” come in 12 different colours: Black, Storm Grey, Diamond White, Platinum Silver, Oxford Blue, Thistle Blue, Atlantic Blue, City Blue, Sherwood green, British Racing Green, Sunburst Yellow and Nightfire Red. Others are totally covered with advertisements. Today London has over 20.000 caps, but there is differed models there is driving around. The classic one is Austin FX4, the new models TX1 and TX11have give London’s caps a more modern shape. In London the baggage is put next to the driver and there are to extra fold down stools so there can be a total of five passengers. London has 300 stations in “the underground” and 321 normal stations, and every day 5 million people use the trains and 5, 2 use the buses.
