Synopsis

 

A musical play in two acts by A. A. Milne, based on Kenneth Grahame’s book The Wind in the Willows, the classic children’s story with the lovable characters Rat, Toad, Mole and Badger.

 

 

Notes

 

Toad was first staged in Stratford at Christmas 1948 and was an immense success with revivals in 1949, 1951, 1956 (Stratford), 1954 (London) and 1972 (Stratford)
